Seems so, but I'm missing something
With the OS commoditizing, and a $50 billion war chest, I had thought this a logical move for Microsoft. But about a month ago, I recall MS was testifying in the DOJ Oracle/PeopleSoft hearings. As a condition, MS committed not to engage in some business segment for some number of years. Apparently, it was not exactly this segment, if MS is moving in that direction, and yet this move threatens Oracle. A bit hard to sort out if one doesn't follow these companies daily.

Can anybody fill in what the restrictions were in the Oracle case?

Thanks
