Yes there is a point.
In fact a couple of them.

The first being that MS is re-aligning itself to server a broader customer base and making applicatins they can afford and implement.

The second is that it creates a huge market for third party companies to sell services and "automation" to. If you need an example, take a close look at Small Business Manager...
