The average selling price of Vista is how much over XP?

It's easy to show an increase in profits of the selling proce is higher than the
predecessor.

Think of it this way, I can sell 100 widgets at $100 for $10,000. If it costs me $10
to make those widgets, it's $ 9,000 in profit.

Now if I sell 75 "new" widgets at a cost of $200, that's $15,000. Assuming costs
are the same (which they are with SW development as those costs ahve already
been accounted for), that's a profit of $14,250.

I sold less and made more money. Same as MS.

I find it convenient they talk about profits and not units shipped. That's the real
gague of how well your product is doing.
