How???
How does offshoring produce more jobs here? If the company outsourced to decides they can't handle all the work or don't have the expertise for part of it, do you think they'll send a portion back here? Doubt it. They'll have someone local (India/wherever) that they'll subcontract that part to.

Offshoring, contrary to the proposition, will escalate job losses here. Assuming offshoring goes beyond a certain "point of inflection", what will happen is that those who lose jobs will drain enough resources here (think decreased consumer spending, unemployment compensation costs, etc.) to cause further contraction. The estimate of 3 million is a huge number of jobs. It probably won't take that many to be beyond the inflection point.

If this keeps up, we're all going to be either government or healthcare workers. I'd rather not be either.
