I knew I would get myself in trouble with that on commnet..
When I said Reboot only once, I should have said I have had the Server Freeze up only once.(contrary to popular belief that Windows must freeze up all the time) In my situation 24/7 allows a re-boot process for patches. I only have 10 users on the network and I can find dead times for a re-boot.

(Tounge in cheek) I wish Netscape and Java would go away. Then I would only have to program web pages in HTML and VB. I would not have to use borrowed Java snippets to make sure my web pages ran on all computers.

If you are talking about my particular situation I have the perfect tools for my job. Java macros in Open Office(Star Office) is not the same as VBA in MS Office. I am not talking about Macros I am talking about a full pogramming languge common to all Office Applications. If you are only creating individual documents then Open Office might be comparable to MS Office. But when you are are talking about VBA and sharing componets of MS Office Applications to create a custom solution then you are doing a dis-service telling people Open Office is comparable to MS Office.

Like I said, I have a long history in the PC industry, my viewpoint is differnet. Oracle and Sun ingnored the PC untill it became powerfull enough to challenge the 'big iron' and Unix Workstations. By that time MS had already defined the PC market, the only way Sun and Oracle could hope to compete was to defeat MS in court.

I have no desire for MS to crush Java and Linux. MS needs competition so I get better MS Products.
