Funny No_Ax it was only a week (or two) ago
Funny No_Ax it was only a week ago when you stated, in
response to my Longhorn vapourware claim, that you were
using a pre-release version of Longhorn. This was used to
suggest MS well advanced with Longhorn, thereby
dismissing my vapourware claim.

And here we are, another Longhorn disaster story, after a
week of non-announcements at WinHEC. "Reaching for the
stars", rubbish, MS is losing it.

WinFS only makes sense on the server, as people
can easily find files on their own storage because they
arranged it themselves. However, on a multiuser system it
will be near impossible to get a common categorisation
from every end-user making WinFS ineffective. MS is
obviously realising this and like their other ideas starting to
drop it (actually push it out to 2009 then do nothing).

Apart from a security system designed to lock you into the
windows platform, what is the innovative improvements in
Longhorn you keep referring to?

Incidentally you might want to lay-off open source, i see
you're masters have released their second product (WFC)
under an OSI approve open source license in as many
months. Stick with attacking Linux:-)
