Read it, he's a crack pot alright
I read on part where he compares the battle against piracy to WW2 and thinks himself as Churchhill. Ok, in society we call people like this mentally ill and things are done keep them from being a danger to society. Someone should look into Jack's behavior and see the damage he is causing.

I just don't see how in the midst of all this suposed digital piracy that the movie industry can make record profits. But I guess that that delusional person could see shadows that do not exist.

Movie theatres are making cash because they offer something a download can't. That being the theatre experience. As well DVD sales are hot. Why? Because DVDs are reasonably priced and offer more than a downloads can. Maybe when DVD capable of holding all the data that a current comercial DVD does is on the market that may change. As well you still have it easier to just buy a DVD for less than it cost 2 people to go to the theatre and the artwork is cool too.

Downloading movies occurs for a few reasons. 1st is you can't see the movie in theatres for what ever reason. Maybe your town has only one theatre. So downloading is an option if you want to view the movie now. Maybe you're a broke college student, wouldn't be buying movies anyways. My brother is like that, when he's in college he downloads and when he's working he buys more often buying the movie that he downloaded.

As you can see no money is lost here and in fact more money is potentially made. If you saw it on a download you may well buy the DVD when it's available.
