Huh?
So anyone who disagrees that Linux is a great platform has not tried linux - that is your point, correct?

If so then I fail the model. I have tried linux and found it lacking in hardware support. Try to install drivers for Linux, get your DVD player working to burn DVDs, etc. Granted I have not tried Linux in the last two years but when I did try it, it was not this great robust operating system that you seem to believe it is.

I also dislink the high prices associated with the microsoft operating system - but it is close minded to just say that Microsoft is a poor operating system and Linux is the best.

Now that being said - I don't think the high price for the eye candy of vista is worth it and I for one will not be lining M$ pockets for a copy. However, I am more than happy that I paid for a full copy of Microsoft XP Professional SP2 because it is a good operating system and meets my needs, it is easy to use, and I can quickly integrate any hardware options that I like with it.
