Beautifully stated TechinMN!!!
Succinct and well put; our friend was apparently missing several important aspects of the story and working under some obviously false assumptions. Anti-Linux feeling is beginning to intensify and grow in the MS camp. Perhaps they have forgotten all the years of pain we suffered with Win NT, 9x, 3.x DOS, etc. Or how the foolish Mgmt at IBM handed Bill his PC market on a platter. My primary point is that as Linux matures ppl will see new features appear gradually and the same thing did and still does happen with MS software (all software actually)
Its just that that Ubuntu/Debian and FSF/GNU/GPL is free and for the good of us all. THAT's something worth waiting for. Meanwhile when i want rock-solid OS'es i look to IBM's proprietary OS'es like zOS/OS400/or AIX. happy
