Neat!
Here's to hoping this aids a whole new era in Ubuntu and compatible application stability. Sounds like the whole project is moving swiftly towards meeting its goals of being an incredible stable, free, and user friendly OS. In the tech office I work in 4/13 employees have already switched, but we've got another 4 that have expressed a lot of interest in it. Actually, we have more people comfortable with Ubuntu than with OSX or Vista. More telling, the users we've set up with Ubuntu for one reason or another, have never had another problem with their computers. Several of these users have been people that can barely turn their computer on, and yet they haven't needed help with their Ubuntu systems.

More on topic, one of the problems with error reporting is that even most tech savvy people simply don't know where or how to report bugs. The average user (where I work, anyway) seems to have trouble even articulating what part of their computer isn't working (ie, "web pages won't load" is almost always reported as "the computer's broken"). But most users I've encountered do at least have the wisdom to submit errors using automated systems. So all in all, this sounds like a great new feature.
