Didn't MS "buy out" Connectix...
mostly for the virtual server technology

and VPC was just unfortunate (for Mac users) collateral damage?

When this MS purchase of more "innovation" occurred, my first reaction was "There goes VPC..." as it's a good bridge for Switchers who absolutely needed some Windows apps and removes a major reason not to go Mac. (thus the MS motivation to kill it).

But, since MS did not say future VPC upgrades were in doubt, on hold or questionable, it would seem difficult to back out now, given all the hype and promises. (granted... how is that any different from the normal Windows announcements and spin? happy )
