Does Not Pass the Smell Test
The article does not help the reader with the smell test. If it smells wrong it probably is. I am talking bribes, promise of future employment, relative employment, all that Abramoff style culture of corruption stuff. We have to assume that Microsoft does this kind of stuff as the company was found guilty of antitrust violations and still struggles to become ligitimate. The above is not harsh. It is reality. The author needed to explain how this technology got selected over the proven Linux solution.

Here is what Gregoire is doing in Washington state. First facts driving the decision are gathered and verified to be accurate and up to date. Then there is a question. Will using Microsoft - or any vendor's solution - break down or create silos. In other words does the solution actively collaborate. If not then the risk, even a calculated one, does not justify allocation of resources.

Florida is one of the most corrupt states in the union. It tarnishes all accomplishments to the point where you have to wonder if Florida State really deserved its basketball championship. Go Gaters.
