You really don't read very well do you?
People don't use Linux in droves not because it's not good enough, it's because it's not Windows. People KNOW Windows, they KNOW Office, because it's shoved down their throats for them.

One of the biggest beefs from new users of Linux, migrating from Windows, is that they can't use their favorite software (read GAMES and Photoshop) on Linux. Once again, that's not the fault of Linux but the developers of the software.

Just creating a Linux-based OEM doesn't fix these problems.

Smaller problems are hardware recognition, because hardware manufacturers develop their drivers for Windows. Linux recognizes more hardware out of the box than Windows, simply because the drivers have been written by Linux developers, not by hardware developers. That's not the case with Windows.

Windows software is taught in schools, because that's what's used on over 90% of computers outside schools. So kids are introduced to MS from an early age. Teachers don't know Linux because they're not required to know Linux or teach it.

All these things have been posted OVER and OVER and OVER again, but you ignore them because they do not suit your paranoid arguments.
