im getting the feeling
you *really* dont know a lot about this case.

there is no 'particularly described method,' just a general description of one program calling another.

microsoft, while the first target, is most definitely not the only 'violator' of the general ideas eolas tried to patent. all browsers, and quite a bit of other software, 'violates' it, although the court case they won refused to look at prior art, which is why the patent office is now looing at it (at the request of the w3c, not microsoft, although they are 1 of many members). open source software violates it, too. eolas just hasnt figured out the money angle there to go after it, yet.

why do you think the majority of the industry is behind this challenge? the w3c is *not* microsoft. an awful lot of other people, most of whom cant stand microsoft, are against this and fighting it. they know they are the next targets if this sham stands.

dont let your hatred for microsoft cloud this issue. it isnt about them. it is about a bad patent that should never have been issued, that will hurt everyone, open or closed source.
