I will give you that support is key. I have used MS support - but I have never used Novell's support. So I cannot argue which is better.

But I will say this - Novell better be *perfect* with its services if it wants to beat Microsoft on the support front. Why? Because if they don't make the first impression they lose the customer altogether. That is the way the service industry works.

But does Microsoft care if it loses support customers? Not really, because its primary market is in shrink-wrapped software & licensing agreements.
