NOTHING to do with "protecting a trademark"

This Dutch filing is a transparent* move to quash a competitor. It does nothing to "protect a trademark." The trademark case is currently under review by a U.S. court, which must first act on the question of whether "windows" is markable. If it is, then is a combination of "Lin" and "Dows" an infringement? Both legitimate questions, with important consequences.

This attempt to end run U.S. justice is reprehensible. If the province of the courts were truly justice, rather than law, Microsoft has done everything possible to merit disallowance of "Windows."


*But windows are supposed to be transparent, aren't they.
