Installing would not be the problem
Installing linux really is no longer a problem for anyone as I've had Xandros for the past 3 years and never had any installation problems with either the Business Edition 3.0 nor the Professional Edition 4.0 as both were easier to install than XP. The problem is the employers who the Librarians work for have supplied them with Windows of whatever version and it's much like a cowboy being supplied a horse, you can't expect him to go out and buy a camel or donkey for use at work. Microsoft will never have a need to run scared as they simply diversify to fill in the holes left by their fleeting supporters. They have the financial base to buy, develop or change whatever business they like, however they like so running scared will undoubtably never become a reality for MS.
