I agree but add
I use Debian to create TN5250 terminals. If the network goes down then the terminals can't talk to the AS400 and thus are no better than paper weights.

However, It sounds like these Vista clients are going to need a lot of bandwidth (that is the impression I get from this article).

If, this ends up taking a large amount of bandwidth per Vista client then it may only have limited use.
