What i don't understand...
The big revenue builder for MS is office, or so i believe. Why don't they port it to linux? They could still get people to buy it, i'm sure of it. I know there are alternatives to office, and i'm happy with openoffice, but i think they should notice that Linux is NOT going away. People have found value in both OS's, and linux users ARE willing to pay for software if it works well with the OS. I think they should use their "embrace" tactic and at least try it. The choice should be for the users, it should not be shoved down their throat, this alienates users. I think both sides should work properly together and the users/IT/companies could pick and choose as they see fit. This would open new doors for all sides, this would also keep MS making money. If a company uses strictly Office, they should be able to choose what OS they want, because not all business are multi million dollar companies. Some offices need to cut costs to show a profit, this could/would cut costs of operating and help all companies with a profit. The prices keep rising, and with the conomy as it is, it's hard to make the money(pending on what kind of business it is).

I guess i would like to see interoperability between all OS's. I know it's a shot in the dark, but i think many others would agree. Business's are out to make a profit, they should be able to use what they want pending on need, not because someone forces you to buy something else to get that application to run. I think the people should have the choice, not large corporations. Make it easier for everyone.

Again, another opinion of mine, and i'm not biased towards any OS. I make most of my money on MS products, but i do have clients that want a choice.
