Can Sun serve two masters?
Linux is about as open source as you can get, Microsoft is the exact opposite. Trying to work with both and meet the needs of both is going to prove to be more than difficult, it may well be impossible. At least from a financial point of view and it appears the stockholders are demanding that financial considerations come first.
