Moot point
Sun is circling the drain. Even if Microsoft does something unprecedented (not shaft them) they don't have a market left. They've given up the workstation business that the company was founded on, the low and midrange server business has gone commodity, and they never managed to pry the high end away from IBM.

They're toast. Scott should at least have the dignity to go out in style rather than grasping at straws.
