So to recap WinHEC
From ZDNet's coverage of annoucments at WinHEC. Let me
know if I've missed anything:

i) MS acknowledges its marketing model for emerging
markets is failing, but is "struggling" to come up with a
solution.

ii) MS is "committed" to a security model for Longhorn, but
does know what form it will take (seems some of their ideas
break backups). Further "tinkering" required.

iii) Longhorn [u}will work on the majority of computers
manufactured at the time of Longhorns release, however
the release date is unknown. In fact the features of
Longhorn hasn't even been finalised.

Did attendees have to pay for WinHEC? All good news to
enterprises that have jumped on the windows platform,
such stewardship must give you all a great deal of
confidence;-)
