You are absolutely correct.
Perhaps, though, that is why they chose to buy SuSE out rather than go out on their own. SuSE's products are very competitive with Microsoft's. If they keep the same price structure over SuSE's line of products and remain competitive with their features compared to Microsoft they should do just fine.
