.NET? Where?
I find this talk of .NET enlightening. It is simply not permitted at my shop (a rather big one), other than for legacy clients in maintenance. Any developer proposing .NET must provide clear justification and a get-well plan, complete with milestones and committed budget.

This is no bias against any organization or technology, but rather a recognition that we can't afford multiple support environments and staffs. I'm surprised that others are more tolerant or generous with their budgets.

Again no bias, but we no longer support COBOL either.
