Does it matter if there's a double standard for internet vs traditional politcal ads?

I say no, because both parties basically make empty promises to the American people and twist facts about what the other party is doing wrong or right. Elections these days are like some kind of long, drawn out, drama filled high school popularity contest. Whatever happended to issues and results?

Personally, I have an easier time believing what a used car salesman is telling me than someone trying to get elected.
