The OSS snowball rolls on
OSS continues to make slow, but steady inroads amongst both hardware and software companies. OSS is a whole new and radically different business model. Some companies (like IBM) are managing to implement it well and profit from it. Others (like Caldera/SCO) are fumbling the ball and strangling on it. It remains to be seen how it will work out for CA, but OSS IS the future trend and all companies will eventually adapt or wither.
