Lemme get this straight. They are going to lay off 10% of 275 people. Let's be abstract here and pretend they actually laid off precisely 27.5 people.

Rule of thumb says these people were costing about $100,000 a pop including salary and benefits.

Calulator sez they have reduced costs by $2.75 million annually, once they get past the one-time severance stuff.

They lose that much in a QUARTER on the Unix business. How is $2.75 million in annual savings going to fill a hole that is $10 million deep?

It can't. Which means that this claim about "return to profitability" is so much canal water. This is just another lame attempt to talk their stock back up as it swirls around the bowl before leaving for the treatment plant.
