Likewise, Chad
My organization is very large, and timeframe maybe longer, but we and a numer of the largest industry, government and NFPs are swapping notes. Here's the trend. For server, yeah Linux is a done deal - the cost of administration (administrators per hundred end users) is dramatically lower, and unification and simplification pay off big time.

On the desktop, the systems are getting to OS agnostic - who cares what OS underlies your browser, which is how you reach the applications, and OO finally made it to full acceptability. But the cost of a separate logistics train (contracts, recruiting, training, etc) for the desktop is evident. All this stuff is in the TCO spreadsheets, and we're keeping an eye out just like you.
