$1,000 a gallon gas anyone?
If anti-trust laws are abolished, will soon be paying through the nose for everything! The reasons for anti-trust laws were the business practices of Standard Oil. If antitrust is abolished, the oil giants will be able to recombine into a new Standard Oil with absolutely no competition. They will then be able to dictate gas prices as they want. To put it another way, do you want personals computers to cost $1,000 or $10,000 simply because Micro$oft is the only source for software of any sort? It has always been Micro$oft's goal to control the computer industry in its entirety. With their monopoly power, they have also begun moving into other sectors. What is to stop them from using that power to control all aspects of the global economy? Only the world's Anti-trust laws.
