Except for one thing you 2
You reduce the price of a product to increase marketshare. Since it is over 90% it isn't going to get higher, so you raise the price to increase revenue. They are fishing for the sweet spot before your scenerio kicks in. Don't totally blame MS for being so successful. Blame all the folks who voted with their dollars instead of boycotting the product for lower prices.
