Quite a few, which is why modems and BBS had made it to the movies....

So they patented the common thing of the day, now twenty years later they hope nobody can remember/prove that there were subscription BBS's, i.e. eCommerce.

Geez, and the EU Commission wants to legalise software & Business process patents. Why?
