US Governments misguided ideas

Since extending DST will have no real affect on Energy consumption its just a waste of time and a big hassle for IT Pros. This all made worse by MS waiting so long to get all of the patches out and the application order decided upon (had the patches been out last summer we wouldn't have had to worry about updating calendars as much since most meetings for march weren't scheduled yet) they also dropped the ball by not providing a free update for the older OS's which means even if you have WSUS in place you still don't have a way to upgrade Win 2000 and a lot of companies are using Win 2000 server still and in my case at a small company we still have Win 2000 Pro because its a small business and we don't upgrade until we buy new pc's.

Fortunatly I have been able to get about 95% complete in just two days of effort, but getting access to all pc's is a chore and it will still be tough getting finished in time.
