If Steve Jobs would love Mac users as they love him ?
He would offer them free core-upgrades (for Mac OS X) and additional features like GarageBand, etc. would sell as separate units.

For example, you bought Mac OS 10.1.5 and Apple gives you for free:

* ?bare bones? of 10.2 and 10.3 (with Expos?)
* upgrades for additional software you bought with Mac OS 10.1.5. (iTunes, etc.)

New extras like GarageBand you will buy only if you need it.

Mac users would save $... and it would help Apple to avoid MS-like antitrust trails in the future (preinstalled extras eliminate competition).

Thus, you pay $130 only if your Mac is in a pre-OS X stage; when you bought a new Mac; and for the next level OS (for example Win 98 ? Win XP, Mac OS 9 ? Mac OS 10, Mac OS 10 ? Mac OS 11).

But, if you wish to pay maximum ? Steve Jobs will fulfill your desire with pleasure.

Consequences of people?s silence of are not limited by high prices only ? silent people create monopolies and dictatorships; monopolies and dictatorships always lead to combats that could be avoided if people would able to say NO when they have to.

Let?s make our future easier by demanding of what we need now.

Nobody will save your money (and more) but you.
