Hey you are right
Only well formatted text is useful when printed. Othewise business people are fine with standard text across the board. Even on powerpoint slide shows. No color on line. Hey, Donnie, I got it!! Why don't you spearhead a movement away from the GUI altogether and back to character based apps? Think of the network/internet bandwidth you'd save the world. Get right on that.

I think you throw around terms way too loosely. Give just a quick handful of "garbage" features in Office. And what gives you the idea that simple is good enough? You been listening to the EU stance on "good enough" technology too much. Sometimes, simple is good, other times intermediate level is required and sometimes high end capabilities are an absolute for business analysis by professionals at all levels. Should you desire that, you are going to have to have multiple versions of whatever you are talking about, or Office2007 which does all 3 in one package for everyone with room to grow. That is the goal of a business you know, to have it's employees grow, not just be "good enough" and retire with the gold lapel pin.
