start doing what many progressive companies do and put more data at the fingertips of all employees with teh ability to do their own analyses for whatever they need. Office2007 is still very hard to beat as a great business front end to host backend data. Many advantages and control. I've tried Google's spreadsheet and couldn't even get a simple excel sheet that had been summarized at 3 levels to load. That kind of document is common even in the business office's clerical people in my experience, even with older less computer literate staff.
I think there are many that will be fine with Google storing their data, but the vast majority of medium sized businesses are just not ready to put their data on Google.

Btw, has anyone asked Google or has Google stated how easy they make it to migrate the data from their site? That is the licensing? Once you are licensed...do they OWN your data in technical terms? I don't like that.
