Perfect storm of MSFT stupidity
It's more than just the utility and value of Google Apps, though for a lot of companies those are powerful enough motivation. You have the utility of Google Apps magnified by the stupidity of MSFT.

Keep treating security as an afterthought, keep treating your customers like criminals, keep jacking the prices over every nit-picky little thing and eventually they'll jump ship. Same thing happened to US car makers in the 70's and 80's and look where they are today. GM and Ford were two of the biggest three auto makers on the planet and they never did recover and I believe the long slide MSFT has already started won't stop for a long time, if ever.

Today Toyota is number one, tomorrow something else will replace Microsoft.

You hear that, Mr. Ballmer? It's the sound of inevitability. It's the sound of your doom. And this time your name isn't Neo, it's Monkey Boy. And you're the reason your company is going down the toilet.
