Now lets compare Apples to Apples - 1 litre of Milk - about $3 - 1 copy of Vista $300.

A three year supply of Vista - $300 (plus support) ... a three year supply of Air - free.

A three year supply of Vista - $300 (plus support) ... a three year supply of Sunshine - Free.

Lets get a little closer, and compare non-essential things (While important, an operating system is far less essential than milk - you won't die if you don't have Vista).

A three year supply of Vista - $300 (plus support) ... a three year supply of Pens - $20 (No support needed)

A three year supply of Vista - $300 (plus support) ... a three year supply of Toilet Paper - $40 (No support needed - hopefully) - while it may get messy, you won't die without TP either ...

A three year supply of Vista - $300 (plus support) ... a three year supply of socks/hose - $60 (Support possibly needed)

Now, for the kicker - lets really do a proper comparison ...

A three year supply of Vista - $300 (plus support) ... a three year supply of OpenSuse (or any other free linux system) - Free (plus support)
