renting movies vs. renting music
Sure, there's a Blockbuster Video on every corner, but how
many times does the average person watch any given
movie? Once or twice at the most, unless it's a favorite
movie, then the customer likely buys it.

Music, though, is a different matter. People will listen to the
same albums hundreds if not thousands of times. It makes
no sense to rent something that you're going to use over
and over again. Then, factor in the hassle of having to
reauthorize or repeatedly download the same favorite tunes
month after month. This is a major blunder for Microsoft
and Real, and any other company that hitches its wagon to
this ill-fated caravan.
