Nothing to do with EU
I've worked in IT in the UK for 20 years, and it's always been the same, and is only now getting slightly better.

Pound for dollar pricing has been the norm for a long time (not just with IT products), and it's only since the internet opened up that people in the UK have realised how much they have been ripped off.

When I go to the States I usually have to buy an extra suitcase for the return flight to hold all the stuff I've bought!!
