Euroland makes MS jump through Hoops
That's why.... Take this out, add this, make this optional, and so on. The Euopean countries have put many demands on MS to make Windows Euro anti-trust compliant, which probably has cost MS some money. Microsoft is just passing the cost onto the European consumer. SOP in any business.

Don't complain to Microsoft,complain to your governments.
