Backwards Licensing?
I am an avid computer user and perfectly happy with XP. As someone else mentioned, you can always build your own pc with whatever you want. I've built two. Notebooks are a problem though. Dell, Gateway,Acer and HP would not sell me a new consumer notebook with anything but Vista. Someone told me M$ licensing is backwards compatible. In other words. I purchased a new HP notebook with Vista Premium. Can I put a boxed OEM XP Home that I have on antother computer on the new Vista notebook? Or do I need to buy another copy if XP? Is M$ going to let me activate the old OEM XP again?
