I'm trying to figure out what exactly your point is. Of course we knew Windows XP would have issues when it came out. That's why Windows 2000 machines could still be bought with ease. Let somebody else deal with the 1.0 crap, I'll think about dropping by around service pack 2. It usually meets some minimum standards by then. The whole gist of the article kinda points out that somebody has decided that shouldn't be an option this time around. MS had better be careful...they're still under close watch for their antitrust conviction. If there's any hint of impropriety they could get slapped back 20 years. They just got tagged with a 1.5 billion dollar judgement against them, and they're going to wind up owing the EU close to that. Their management team just doesn't seem bright enough to know when it's time to flex and when it's time to sit in the corner quietly counting your billions so that some other folks can get drug into the spotlight for a while.
