xp but not right now
I believe vista was released pre maturely considering many companies have not done anything about the current driver issues. But on the other hand as soon as these driver problems get fixed and other small bugs in the code, vista will be an amazing operating system. I have run mac os 10.4 and other previous versions of mac os 10,xp,98,95. I have installed all of these on the systems i used them on and in the next say day or so i plan on doing the same with vista. Now vista seems to be an upgraded version of xp. In heart it has many xp features but with dashes of the mac os 10 series. I built my last comp this summer with hopes of getting vista so i made sure it would be fully compatable, which it is. I got lucky that all my hardware-video ect. has drivers that will run on vista. I will post back soon on. And on the topic of xp users being left behind.... yes they will be. just not yet. microsoft still backs the os so you wont have any security updates missing. BUT! XP will not have the new apps that vista will be getting. thus being "left behind" If you dont need any new apps and are perfectly happy with xp then you should not upgrade to vista for as long as 4 years. but it will be reccomended in a year-after it is sure that there are no more glitches in the os.
