Until you brought that up Dan, I was against MS in this instance because the master disks and the code on them IMHO are the same as sending parts overseas for assembly--i.e. assemble the code and you have working product. But since the product is the license and not the software itself...hmmm.

I guess an analogy would be shipping parts overseas to assemble a...patent-infringing sauna. One sauna is built, then people are charged 5 bobos a pop to use the device. 8200 people end up using the IR sauna. Then the lawyers find out about it, the courts get involved...but how much is the US company liable for? The one instance of the actual, infringing device...or each time someone is charged for the use of it?

I have to say it, but in this case (I'm cringing here) MS has a point.
