That's not communism
Communism is not control or tyranny. Cuba is a dicatorship with the communist ecomonic model forced upon the people. A democracy can easily have the same communist economic model voted in by the people. The problem with communism is not communism it's the government forcing communism on its people. In the case of Castro, he's a dictator where as the old USSR and current China were/are Oligarchies that imposed communism on the people of those countries.

Communism isn't a bad thing. In fact it works quite well. It does break down however due to greed. Greed doesn't work well in communism unless you have a lot of wealth to begin with. In fact it's the same problem with capitolism, greed causes that to fail too when you have people with the wealth pushing for laws to impede capitolism that ensures thier gravy train.

This really has nothing to do with Microsoft or Open Source software.
