True, True
I am a strict constitutionalist and the Feds have already taken too much away from states rights. If your state does not tax and mine does, so be it as long as the taxes stay in MY state.

I used to drive 18 wheelers for a living and always chuckled when I saw those signs at road construction that touts the amount of money spent by the state and the feds to build/repair the road. Fed money is collected from all the states. A congressman or senator has to fight like hell to get the Fed contribution on the project. How about if the state in question kept their taxes they send to the feds for redistribution? If the state does not play ball with the feds they withhold funding. That is plain a$$ wrong.

The same princible applies here. If the Feds tax the internet, the state(s) will get less from the redistribution than if the state(s) collect for themselves and keep the tax inhouse.

Trust me, I am the last person in the world that wants more taxation from any entity but if it is to be then keep he Fed Gov out of it.
