I hate ZDNET's no preview. Hit the wrong button. Pressure from the states to tax the internet is great. I find it interesting the decison came "came after four days of intense closed-door negotiations and lengthy floor speeches that brought normal Senate business to a sudden halt." It appears to me that the pro-tax bunch did not have quite the number to get any type of legislation passed.

IMHO taxing of the internet in any form should be a states rights issue. But with the FTC involved the Feds claim imminent domain. Even the feds know that 50 different taxing authorities would kill broadband. Talk about confusion. Taxes ARE coming it is just a matter of how much and when.
