It is high time the medical industry woke up...
I was shocked and dismayed when I found out our local hospital was using HP-UX for their infrastructure needs. When we had our child, they used an HP-UX box to perform the various scans. I tried to explain to the staff that a .NET solution from Microsoft would allow them to handle more patients in less tinme, lowering TCO and raising ROI through the roof. The staff seemed to realize I was making points as they stopped talking to me, obviously they were too ashamed to defend thieir position. Bringing Windows Server 2003 into the medical field will be a huge gain for all of mankind.
