YOU, my friend are sounding like a troll.

There are 3 places that load startup programs (not counting those started as a service)

Win.ini (yup, it's still there)
the startup folder - one for each user (pretty easy to delete these)
And ... buried in the registry - if there is some utility for the AVERAGE USER to access this (not just view in windows info applet) and delete the appropriate regestry keys, then do please enlighten us will ya?
Poking at the registry is no simple task, even for those of us who have a basic understanding of it. kinda like changing your brakes while the car is moving.

(btw - I don't have Linux ... yet ... I'm usung winders 2000. and yes, I kinda like it except for the patching using 33k phone lines)
