And one more observation...
If you had cruised the retailers in the weeks running up to Vista's launch you would have noticed that they were clearing out all their "old models". So... it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that this sets up an artificially high demand when the "new models" are made available. There's also the observation that there are a lot of good hardware deals mysteriously surfacing at about the same time as the Vista release.

So... Yes, I guess sales were up. But how much, and was it all about Vista? Ah well, it's still amusing to see the "usual suspects" doing quantum leaps to imaginary states without giving so much as a cursory look at what they read.
